We are so excited to share some amazing news – Cold Town Beer has just been given two awards at the 2025 Scottish Beer Awards with Cold Town Doddie Beir awarded Gold for Best Pilsner and Cold Town Lager awarded Silver in the Best Lager category. Our Cold Town Beer home, Cold Town House was also awarded Best Beer Destination, a credit to their hard work in creating such a unique bar!
This award isn’t just a win for us – it’s a celebration of years of hard work and collaboration. The Scottish Beer Awards, now in the 10th year, brings together and showcases the best of Scotland’s vibrant brewing industry. The independent judging panel, comprising experts from brewing, retail, hospitality, and the media, awarded medals and trophies across a broad range of taste and business categories, honouring excellence and innovation in Scottish brewing.

Doddie Beir began with a handshake and a shared goal: to create a beer that honours the legendary rugby hero, Doddie Weir. Known not only for his prowess on the rugby field but for his unwavering fight against motor neurone disease (MND), Doddie inspired us all with his energy, humour, and determination to make a difference.
Every pint of Doddie Beir you drink and every can you purchase supports the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, helping to fund research into finding a cure for MND. To date, we’ve proudly donated over £15,000 to the foundation, and we are committed to contributing at least £11,000 over the next two years.
