Cold Town 7s Summer
The 7s season is in full swing, and Cold Town Beer is right at the heart of it – backing some of Scotland’s biggest rugby festivals and showing up across the circuit with great beer, and strong partnerships. From the Scottish borders, right into the heart of Edinburgh City Center, this summer is all about supporting the game, building long-term relationships, and using every event to create impact both on and off the pitch.
Melrose 7s – Doddie Beir, Big Crowds & Real Impact
Melrose has already delivered this season – exactly what it always does best: impressive rugby, packed stands, and an atmosphere that sets the standard for the sport. Cold Town Beer was proud to be there with Doddie Beir, supporting the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and helping raise vital funds for research into Motor Neurone Disease. The response across the event was outstanding, strong sales, busy bars, and a genuine sense of purpose behind every pour. Melrose remains a key moment in the 7s calendar – not just for the rugby, but for the difference it helps make.
Currie 7s – 30th May 2026
Next up is the Currie 7s on 30th May 2026, hosted by Currie Chieftains. We’ll be on site throughout the day, alongside the team from Pop Up Bar Events, backing one of Scotland’s newest 7s tournaments and keeping Cold Town Beer flowing from kick-off through to the final whistle. Currie always delivers – competitive rugby, a strong community feel, and a crowd that knows how to enjoy a proper summer day out (sun or rain!)
James from Currie 7’s –
“As we look forward to our 4th year of the Currie 7s Festival we are excited to again be working with Cold Town Beer who have been part of the event since its inception. Their combination of excellent beers and comfy deck chairs partnered with our community rugby festival is the perfect match for anyone this Saturday.”
Kings of the 7s at Accies (with NGM) – 30th May 2026
Also taking place on 30th May 2026, the Kings Circle 7s at Accies, in collaboration with Neighbourgood Market, hosted at Edinburgh Academical Football Club, brings together elite sevens action and a growing market festival. This is a huge staple in the calendar as it welcomes the King’s 7’s Circuit to the Edinburgh city scene. Cold Town Beer is proud to be working alongside Neighbourgood Market on this, continuing to build presence in the 7s space and deliver a fantastic bar scene and atmosphere with local food and drinks available.

We’re incredibly proud to be involved in such a historic occasion and to play our part in bringing the Kings of 7s tournament to the capital for the very first time. The Neighbourgood Market is all about creating memorable social experiences, so to combine top-class rugby with great food, drink and entertainment is hugely exciting for us. We’re looking forward to helping create a brilliant atmosphere across the weekend for everyone to enjoy.

We’re absolutely delighted to welcome the Kings of 7s tournament to Edinburgh for the very first time this weekend. As one of Scotland’s most historic rugby clubs, it’s a hugely exciting moment for Edinburgh Accies to host such a prestigious event and showcase our club and the brilliant atmosphere that rugby sevens creates. We’re looking forward to welcoming players, supporters and visitors from across the country for what promises to be a fantastic weekend of sport and entertainment at Raeburn Place
Edinburgh City 7s – 10–12 July 2026
The summer closes out with the Edinburgh City 7s (10–12 July 2026) – one of Scotland’s largest sport and music festivals, something we couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this event. Across three days in the capital, it brings together high-quality rugby, strong crowds, and a festival atmosphere that continues to build each year. Cold Town Beer is proud to be part of that journey.
Scott from Edinburgh City 7’s said:
“We’re genuinely excited to team up with Cold Town once again as the official beer sponsors of EC7s. We can’t wait to bring the lively atmosphere – along with those cold pints of Doddie Beir back to the sidelines. Even better, this partnership supports a meaningful cause, with proceeds going to My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, a charity that sits at the very heart of the rugby community”
Backing Rugby Communities Across Scotland
Across every tournament, the focus stays the same – great beer, strong partnerships, and creating impact that goes beyond the pitch. Through Doddie Beir, we continue to support the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, helping raise vital funds and turning match-day moments into meaningful contributions.
